About Us

My name is Chloe and I am absolutely crazy about dogs, hence the name Horsham's Crazy Dog Lady!

Chloe Halsey - Horshams Crazy Dog Lady

And this is my business partner Bertie.

I have had dogs all of my life and actually learnt how to walk with help from our family's Golden retriever 'Sam' when I was a baby. When I was 10 we got a long coated German Sheperd called Jodie and we bred from her and kept 1 of the puppies; her name was Hetty. I was very involved with the training of these two dogs and they were my responsibility to walk every morning before school. I suppose this is where it started, I loved the responsibility even from a young age and they weren't the easiest of dogs to handle as they were very strong and hated all other dogs! My mum always said that you have to have eyes in the back of your head when you are in charge of dogs and she had every faith in me as I always saw a potential danger or bad situation even before she did and she is Horsham’s original Crazy Dog Lady having worked in a kennels and for a dog breeder and also working for the RSPCA, the apple didn't fall to far from the tree I guess!

I have been walking and looking after other peoples dogs since 2011. I started out by just looking after the dogs of my friends and family and well I suppose it has just escalated from there!

In 2012 I got my Llasa Apso Bertie (just a tad different to the German Sheperds!) He is absolutely wonderful (my husband says that I love the dog more than him - he's right!). Bertie loves all other dogs which is what makes it so easy for me to do the job I love so much, he is friendly and playful with any dog that wants to play with him but is also aware that some dogs just aren't that interested and so is happy to leave them in peace!

I believe that a dog really is mans best friend and if you are looking for someone that will love your dog as much as you do then look no further! Your dog will be treated like one of the family.
